San Francisco-based artist Bianca Levan has been creating papercuts since 2012. Bianca explores journeys, the periods of contemplation and decision in one’s journey, and the universality of time through imagined landscapes and scenes using the binary quality of black hand-cut paper. Since 2017, she has served as a board member for the Guild of American Papercutters and continues to volunteer at the Kids & Art Foundation. Her work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions nationwide, including MarinMOCA, Secession Art & Design, and SOMArts Cultural Center.

Gina Pisello is a paper engineer and book artist. Her work consists of original book structures, altered books, and paper sculptures. She explores themes of time, personal history, and the interplay of shadow and light.

I studied painting at the University of Illinois. Started papercutting about 10 years ago and have been using it as my primary medium for that time. I create original designs and cut them out of self-made duplex papers and mount them so that the shadows reflect the colors of the papers.

Hannah Kohl is a papercutting artist and musical theatre writer currently based in the Pacific Northwest. Her work has been profiled in The New Yorker, featured in The NY Times. Hannah was also featured at the inauguration of the observation deck at One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower, NY) and TEDxBroadway, where she was also a speaker. Her first papercuts were a commission for a production at Lincoln Center with the NY Philharmonic and NY City Ballet.

Having worked on Broadway shows for more than a decade, many of her pieces are commissioned by the theatre community for Broadway opening nights, bespoke gifts, magazine covers, and poster art. Her pieces can be found in private collections around the world, including those of Caldecott Award-winning author/illustrator Brian Selznick, Tony Award-Winning writers Lynn Ahrens (ANASTASIA), Thomas Meehan (ANNIE), Joseph Stein (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF), and Tony Award-Winning directors John Tiffany, Cameron Mackintosh, and more.

Dena Levie is a papercut artist living in Teaneck, NJ. She has been papercutting for 27 years. She has been a member of GAP for many years. To date she has made over 2,000 pieces. She enjoys working with people to create a beautiful personalized piece of art.
